Inspiration

We have had the privilege to get informed, engaged, and inspired by a variety of writings, films, podcasts, reports, and more. We encourage you to engage with these works and think with us:

• What does the word ‘democracy’ mean to you, and how do we reckon with its history?
• What future do we want to build together, and what would that look like?
• How do we understand the polycrises facing us, and how can we advocate for an equitable future for nature and the life it supports?
• How do we uplift public interest media and utilise it in our fight for a better future?
• What role can technology play in an equitable future, and how can we safeguard against a polluted information ecosystem?

We have collected a selection of our collective inspiration behind the DSU - works that have inspired us in our discussions, labs, and that have helped us think deeper about the stories we need to tell.
